Version 1.0.0 is a big milestone for the GeoPrism Registry software and community supporting it.

What’s in a GPR Version 1.0.0 release?

This release has gone through rigorous testing by multiple organizations and community members, has been battle tested in a variety of deployments globally, and represents a feature rich enterprise level application built in collaboration with a broad community of global professionals.

In addition to releasing the software we have a new set of resources to help provide more open collaborative tools to the broader community. We’re always looking for collaboration and feedback so please reach out with any questions.

:computer: New website!. This new product website will serve as the central place to find information about the GPR.

:page_facing_up: New user docs! Thanks to the work of the community we have new online docs that are setup to be more accessible and more collaborative.

:page_facing_up: Updated API docs! Thanks to the work of the developer community the API and API documentation has gone through more rigorous testing and updates.

:memo: New forum! This forum is intended to be a primary place for community support. It’s the first place to go for questions.

:motorway: Public roadmap (In progress)! The roadmap is intended to be a place to outline future work at a high level so that the community can collaborate on the direction of all things GPR. The current roadmap is going to be updated over the coming months. We welcome all input to this process. The forum would be a good place to post questions or suggestions for future work.

:page_with_curl: New sharable GeoPrism Registry handout! This is a simple way to share information about GeoPrism Registry with others.

:gear: Updated release notes system! This system automatically extracts messages from our code commits with links to the code that was changed (on GitHub) so that others can see exactly what was released. This will be an additional level of detail to support tickets.

  • Displayed on each release and on a master file called CHANGELOG in GitHub.

We’re all very happy about this release and hope these additional resources help you with evaluating, using, or advocating for GeoPrism Registry.
